If you live in Canada and you like to save money, well, you’ve come to the right place. 🙂   It can be a little trickier to find ways to save money online in Canada, so this is why I’m writing this post!  Today I’m going to share some ways you can save money, whether it be sites or apps.

COUPONS OR CASH-BACK APPS

Coupon Sites

Grocery shopping or shopping online?  Well, there’s an app for that.  Or a website with coupons.  🙂

Save.ca

Websaver

SmartSource

Free.ca

Smart Canucks

Coupon Apps for your Phone

Checkout51 – I use this app to save money on groceries with their cashback offers.

Caddle (Sign up using the Promo code Amanda99683 and they will add $1.00 to your account to start you off!)  This one is similar to Checkout51, but with different offers!

Ebates (can use this one from your laptop or desktop as well) –  You can save with Ebates when you shop online

REWARD PROGRAMS

Reward programs are a great way to earn some extra cash.  This list is by no means exhaustive, but I thought I would share some of my favorite ones.PC Optimum This used to be the PC Plus program, but is now combined with Optimum points.  I love this reward program.  I’ve saved up for a ton of free groceries over the years with this program.

Canadian Tire Money So, there are a few ways you can take advantage of Canadian Tire money.  You can just have it so you get a bit of Canadian Tire cash every time you make a purchase, or you can get a Canadian Tire credit card and accumulate Canadian Tire money that way.  This is what we do because you get more cash this way.  We usually try to hit the Canadian Tire gas stations so we can accumulate their rewards.

Airmiles –  Air miles is pretty well known, and if you fly a lot this can really benefit you.  If you are collecting air miles, I recommend getting gas at the Shell gas stations often because they give you airmiles with your purchases.

Google Opinion Rewards – This is a reward program that sends you extremely short surveys, just a question or a few, and you can accumulate some of their google rewards.  My husband has this on his phone and he’s been able to use the money at the google play store for some ebooks he loves to read.

Swagbucks – This is a favorite of mine.  You earn “Swagbucks” by doing surveys, searching the internet, doing a daily poll, shopping online, and much more.  I’ve used my Swagbucks for gift cards on Amazon and at Starbucks over the years.  I think one year I used them for a Home Depot gift card.

While we may not be able to do extreme couponing here in Canada, there are ways we can save money and earn rewards.  Try some of these programs to earn extra cash!
