10 Fresh Peach Recipes
When peach season comes around it’s time to make all the delicious things with peaches, and boy are there lots of them. Peach cobblers, peach crisps, peach cakes just to name a few. There’s also savory dishes like peach salsa or peach bruschetta. If you are looking for some peaches recipes, whether for dessert or the main course you’ve come to the right place!
I live in an area that doesn’t really grow peaches. While there’s the odd person that seems to be successful at growing peaches on their property, to get to a peach orchard you’d have to drive at least 7 hours from where I live. Our growing season just isn’t long enough to produce a decent peach harvest.
However, even with the peach orchards being 7 hours away, there are many locals who drive down and bring back those peaches to sell to us at the local farmer’s market. So we do get the option of buying somewhat “local” peaches. That typically happens in mid August.
As summer rolls in and the days grow longer, it’s the perfect time to enjoy fresh peaches. These sweet, juicy fruits are at their best when they’re in season, offering a taste of summer with every bite. Whether you eat them fresh, bake them into a pie, or whip them into a refreshing drink, peaches are a wonderful way to celebrate the season.
That time of year when the fruit is ready to be harvested is fast approaching and I know I’ll find myself in possession of a good amount of peaches that I’ll buy locally. I’m already trying to decide all that I want to do with them. I’ll probably freeze some to use at a later time, but I’ll also be doing some baking right away to make some delicious peach desserts!
I’m always looking for new recipes to try. What about you? Sometimes we always resort to making the same old classics – cobblers, pies, and crisps. Those are amazing, and I really think they are worth making. But what about trying something new as well?
The list below has a mix of classics and what I like to call non-classics. Hopefully it’ll give you some ideas to try on how to make use of all those peaches in a different way than you are used to, along with still making a few of the tried and true ways to eat peaches.

Make all the Peach Things
So, as you can see from this list there are so many great dishes you can make with an abundance of peaches. Dishes that incorporate peaches in them just scream summer.
If you are like me you’ll find a few of your favorite seasonal dishes and in the future you won’t be able to let the summer pass without making them. It just doesn’t feel like summer without the right peach dish! I have certain dishes for every season that I feel like that.
Blueberry pie is another dessert I can’t let summer go by without making, and when fall hits I love so many different pumpkin desserts, along with fresh, homemade donuts.
When winter hits I’m all about needing some cinnamon buns to celebrate the season, and in spring I like to make rhubarb custard pie. All these dishes remind me of the different seasons and bring back memories of times I ate them in years prior.
What about you? Is there a certain type of dish that you just HAVE to make in the summer because it just doesn’t feel quite like summer without it? Or what about the other seasons of the year? What recipes do you make every single year at the same time without fail? I’d love to hear about what you make that has become tradition for you in the comments below.
