15 Cute Easy Christmas Cookies you’ll want to make this Holiday Season

“I don’t want cute, easy Christmas cookies,” said no one, ever.

cute easy christmas cookies

Okay, guys…writing this post may have been my worst blog article idea yet.

Why?

Because now I can’t stop thinking about cookies.  And I want to make ALL. THE. COOKIES.  And then I want to eat all the cookies.  And then I will feel sick from all the cookies.

Maybe you can make all the cookies but you won’t eat every single one of them.  Maybe you’ve been looking for a recipe for Christmas cookies and this post will help you instead of hurt you because have more self-control than I do.

I figure if I make a bunch but I just make sure to give them away I can avoid eating too many.

Regardless, it’s kinda tradition to make some kind of Christmas cookie at this time of year.  However, if you are like me and finding yourself pretty busy (and let’s be honest, who isn’t busy these days) you want something easy.  But also super cute.  That’s why today I am sharing with you some cute easy Christmas cookies you can make.

I’m all for super designer-like cookies for those who want to create a masterpiece, but at my house we function better with easy.

I do kind of set a date for myself as to when I can start making Christmas cookies though.  Basically, I try to wait until at least December 15th.  I figure the longer I wait, the less damage I can do.

It goes completely against my celebrating Christmas philosophy.  Yep, I’m one of those, November 1st let’s start playing the Christmas music kinds of people.

I often decorate early too.

I haven’t this year yet, mainly because I just haven’t had time to get to it. But I’m all about decorating for the Christmas season nice and early.

I mean,  Christmas is such a joyful time of year, I like to embrace it for as long as I possibly can.

But, back to the cookies.  I prefer Christmas cookie recipes with pictures so I can actually see what they are going to look like.  You know, if I actually nailed it in my attempt to make them.  Or, let’s be honest, it could very well end up as a Pinterest fail.  I know you know what I’m talking about.

Christmas is a perfect time to spend some afternoons or evenings baking up a storm and I hope these Christmas cookie recipes with pictures will help inspire you to get in the kitchen this season.  Include the kids and they’ll love you for it!  Even if that means there will be flour everywhere, and you’ll be watching them like a hawk to make sure they don’t start stuffing dough into their mouth.  The memories you make while baking with the kids will last a lifetime and that makes it all worth it in the end.

Plus, when the end result is that you get to eat delicious, home-baked cookies, you just can’t lose, right?  (Unless you are like me and eat w-a-a-a-a-y-y-y-y- too many of those home-baked cookies.)

I’ll take any tips in the comment section below as to how I can practice better self-discipline when it comes to yummy cookies. 🙂
