Best Coupon Sites and Cashback Apps

Maybe you are asking yourself where to find coupons to help you save money.  I mean, who doesn’t like a good coupon?

That’s why today I’ve compiled a list of the best places online to find coupons.  You will find both US and Canada sites for coupons in this post.

Because, I gotta be honest, as a Canadian, we don’t have nearly the awesome coupon programs like there are in the states.  Frankly, I’m downright jealous.  As far as I know there isn’t a whole lot of extreme couponing going on in Canada.  Which is really too bad because I would have loved to make couponing one of my main sports.  I’d be a heck of a lot better at it than kicking a soccer ball.  (I am the least graceful and co-ordinated person when it comes to sports. )

But, there ARE coupons savings to be had in Canada too, just not as much.  So I’ve added both lists to this post.

But let’s talk about how you can save money with coupons, and when it isn’t saving you money.

You want coupons to save you money, not cost you money.  If you are using coupons on things you won’t eat, or that will sit in your cupboard or fridge and go bad, well, you haven’t saved any money.  You’ve just wasted money.

The other issue that can happen with coupons is it is often more difficult to find coupons for healthy foods.  Now, I have noticed this changing a bit over the past few years, but it’s still a slow process.  You want to make sure if you are using coupons you are still shopping for food that is going to fuel and nourish your body.

I’m definitely one of those people who buys some convenience foods (my family loves hot dogs and Kraft Dinner and that will never change) but that is such a small percentage of our groceries that I don’t worry about it since we make a ton of food from scratch and the kids love to eat fruit for snacks.

While couponing is a great way to save on your grocery bill, you can also save money without coupons too.  You can save money by shopping the flyer sales, eating in season, and buying marked down groceries.  check out THIS post for cheap meal ideas or THIS post for frugal staples to add to your grocery bill.

Some of these coupon sites have printable coupons and some will mail them to your home.  Personally I prefer the coupons mailed to my home so I don’t have to worry about printing them out.  Also, if you are printing out large amount of coupons that does add up in printer ink.  However, printable coupons are better than no coupons in my opinion. 🙂  If you are new to couponing, with the list above you no longer have to wonder where to find coupons.
