You can stay with your kids, you can take extra time to slow down if you aren’t feeling well, and the most important one – your work uniform can consist mostly of insanely comfortable yoga pants. Blogging. Obviously I need to first start out with my personal favorite. Blogging can be done as a hobby, but it also can bring in some cash if you want it to. Some people make just a bit of cash on the side and others make more then enough for a full-time income. Blogging can be a great side hustle that allows you to use your creative gifts, but it is not a get rich quick scheme. It is a marathon, not a sprint. If you want to make money from blogging it is MORE than possible, but you have to be in it for the long haul. Surveys. Again, not a get rich quick scheme, but can provide you with a little extra cash each month if you have some extra time to answer some questions. I used to do surveys sometimes when I had toddlers while they were napping. It was something that didn’t require a lot of energy (because, baby and toddler stage = exhaustion) but could easily be done before children woke up. Some of my preferred survey companies are American Consumer Opinion, Survey Junkie, Pinecone Research, Global Test Market Panel, VIP Voice Panel, and Swagbucks. Just remember to answer the questions honestly.
Fiverr. Fiverr is a marketplace that you can offer digital services to paying customers. They have a bunch of different categories from proofreading and editing, to voiceovers, from online lessons, to making flyers, and everything in between. You can even get hired to write jingles or sing happy birthday to someone. Basically, the sky is the limit when it comes to what service you can offer on Fiverr.
Virtual Assistant. A virtual assistant is someone who is hired to do administrative and technical work for someone. You can work for an agency, or start an agency yourself.
Teach. You can teach or tutor students in a variety of subjects from the comfort of your own phone as long as you have a computer and internet connection. Teach languages, music, math, and more! Check out VIPKid or Outschool to find a job in this field.
Sell on Etsy. If you are a crafty person you can try selling your homemade products on Etsy. Whether it be soap, printables, crochet or knitted items, jewellery, or anything else you make, you might just be able to make some decent money by selling it online.
Freelance. If you like to write, but don’t want to start your own blog, you can write for other people and get paid to do it. Upwork is a great place to get started as a freelancer.
Youtube. Youtubers all over the world are making money by creating their own videos. This can be a really fun side gig. There are so many different niches on youtube that make money, like makeup tutorials, homesteading how-tos, DIY videos, as well as some people just filming their everyday life. Just like blogging, Youtube is not a get rich quick scheme, but it’s a great way to make some extra cash with a fun hobby.
Write an eBook. Have you always wanted to write a book? If it’s something you always wanted to do, you can sell the finished product through many different avenues online. Or you could sell printables, which I have enjoyed doing. For some extra cash and the satisfaction of writing your own book, it’s totally worth it.
Transcription. Transcribing is the process of taking a recording and turning it into text. So, basically, you are listening to a voice and typing out what the recording says word for word.
When it comes to working online, you want to find legitimate ways to make money online. There are scams everywhere and you will want to be wary of that. You should never have to PAY someone to be hired. Always look into the company and do your research before signing up for online work.

I know what it is like to need to figure out how to make money from home. We can cut costs and make frugal choices, and that is helpful for staying within our budget, but sometimes there is no where else to cut in our budgets and we need to start thinking about making some extra income.
