12 Cheap Snacks for Kids
Here in Canada we still have over half the Summer left before school starts, but I know in parts of the US kids are back to classes in some areas in just weeks. That’s why I thought it was a perfect time to come up with a list of cheap snacks for kids.

When I think about the school year starting again, (for us that happens in September) I like to get back into routine. Summer is amazing, but after awhile I notice we are all looking for a bit more structure to our days. If you are like me and like to take a pen to paper to organize your school year for your family, be sure to check out my printables available to help you do that.
We homeschool here, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need our cupboards full of snacks! I think most, if not every mom can relate to their constantly hungry children who ask for a snack 3,562 times a day. I am always on the lookout for cheap snacks for kids since we need a lot of them to get through our week.
Thankfully, there’s some great couponing apps you can download to your phone to help you save money when you are grocery shopping for all those snack ingredients! Add Checkout51 and Ibotta to your phone so you can slash your bill at the grocery store.
I’ve gathered this list of what I consider to be cheap snacks for school or for home from sites around the web. All of these are perfect for after school when they come home asking for a snack, but many of these can work nicely in a lunchbox. Hopefully you can feel more prepared with your treats on hand.
